Fresh-Winds Maple Products has been operating here in Westford, VT for about as long as anyone can remember. Westford was founded on June 8th, 1763 (just missing sugaring season). Over the years between then and now, farms and factories have come and gone, children have been born and raised, schools, churches and homes have been built and rebuilt. One thing has always stayed the same here though. Every spring when the days get warm, and the nights are cold, the sap starts to run in the maple trees, everyone around here knows that it's sugarin' time!

Alec has been making pure Vermont maple syrup for a long time, so he ought to know. Alec, and Clyde "Jr" Drinkwine still tap the trees by hand just as sugar makers have for centuries. They still collect the sap in buckets too. This makes the best syrup, and is better for the trees than the new "Tube and Vacuum" systems that some folks are using. They also do all of their boiling over old-fashioned hardwood fires, and they pack the syrup and sugar products fresh, at just the right time.
